chances for UCSD, UCLA, USC, UCB, UCD, and UOP pharmacy

<p>I'm an Asian junior in CA, parents did not go to college, plan to major in biochem (pre-pharm for UOP)</p>

<p>UW GPA: 3.79
UC GPA: should be between 4.1-4.2</p>

<p>APs: World History-4, US Hist - probably 4 or5, Chem - probably 4 or 5, BC Calc (next year), Econ (next year)
Honors: Accel Math (no weight), Geo (no weight), Pre-calc, Chem, Physics (next year) </p>

<p>SAT REASONING:
scores were low, but i'm planning to retake them in fall. what score should i aim for? would low 2000s be enough?
1st: 620M/ 570CR/ 600W = 1790
2nd: 740M/570CR/580W = 1890</p>

<p>SAT SUBJECT TESTS:
World History: 710
US History: 700
Chem: 720..I really wanted a 750. is it worth taking it over again?</p>

<p>ECs:
- Varsity Softball- will be 4 years
-2007 city champs
-CSF Member- will be 4 semesters
-Premed club member -will be 4 years
-volunteers club - 3 years
-red cross club - will be 4 years
-math club- 3 years
- recycling club - 2 years
- am going to intern at UCSF over this summer to participate in medical research</p>

<p>I went in with almost the same stats as you, and I got into all my UCs, I think you should be fine next year

USC - match
CAL - reach
UCD - safety
UOP - match</p>

<p>i don't know about berkely or ucla, but i think you have a shot at other uc's and uop. </p>

<p>there are always, of course, exceptions. i've seen kids' getting into berkeley with low test scores. i would recommend....taking the SAT one more time in your senior year and writing really good essays. revising, revising, and finishing your essays would be a very good idea.</p>
