Chances For UCSD?

Hello, I was wondering what my chances are for UC San Diego and wanted to ask a group of people what they thought.

GPA unweighted: 3.93
GPA weighted ~ 4.1
SAT: 1710
ACT:25
The only B’s I have received in my high school career are one in Honors Geometry for first semester, and Honors Chemistry for both semesters. I may receive a few B’s this year in either AP Government, AP Economics, or Physics.

I do not have an extensive list of extracurriculars/community service but I have:
-Marching Band, we marched in the last Rose Parade
-Teacher’s Aide( 1 for class/ 2 not for class) over a period of all 4 years of high school

  • I am a historian for my school’s politics club, and an activities director for my school’s chamber music club

My major for UCSD is Literature’s of the World if that has any meaning.

If there is anymore background information needed, I am happy to provide certain items.

If this school does not appear reachable to whoever views this, a suggestion to a different University of California is very appreciated.

Just based on the information you give, I would suggest looking at UC Riverside and Merced as reachable colleges.

Depending on what the courses were like that you took, you may have a chance of getting in, but that’d be with a lot of AP classes (about 10).

UCSD is a reach due to your low test scores. UCSD admits into the university first and then into your major. Bump your test scores into the 2000/30 range and your will be much better.
