My UF essay is getting completed, just improving it every way I can!

Should I apply Summer or Fall term?

Any help is appreciated

You really need to improve your SAT scores. Your UF GPA is already very very low. The average UF GPA for an admitted freshman last year was 4.3 and the average SAT was 1967.

Florida State might be better suited for you as long as you work on your scores.

You have a pretty rigorous course-load, but you’re GPA doesn’t really impress. Your SAT scores are somewhat poor. As for your ECs…they’re okay (props for the internship), but I’ve seen much better from accepted UF applicants. Do you have an leadership roles, work experience, or awards? Those will help your application. As it stands, I don’t you meet UF’s rising standards for their freshman applicants. The only advice I can give you is to get better grades and SAT scores. You could take up a couple of ECs before applying, but UF likes to see dedication and consistency over a long period of time, so I don’t think it will help.

I have a job that I have been working for 3 months.

I will carry a leadership role for “the scholars academy” starting 12th grade - I’ll be the president

Also, my idea for my UF essay is truly unbelievable. An incredible event that affected my lifestyle, my parents lifestyle, and my wealth.

Just imagine having a lot of money taken away from you by the government of another country and living in poverty.
Truely is a meaningful experience

Good to hear! But still work on your grades and SAT scores. You can’t overshadow them completely with your other qualifications. Good luck this upcoming year, and on your applications!
