Hello! I'm sorta freaking out about whether l will get into UF or not. My UF GPA is super high, above a 4.7, but my SAT scores are only a 1760. I volunteer a lot, have a job, compete in sports, and have lots of awards/honors. I usually write good essays, too. I'm really just wondering if my SAT scores are low enough to have them deny me. Thanks!

according to collegeboard, the most important things are:
Academic GPA
Application Essay
Character/Personal Qualities
Extracurricular Activities
Rigor of secondary school record
Talent/Ability
Volunteer Work

You seem safe, they don’t factor in SAT/ACT as a major factor. You’re in for sure

Awesome, thanks!

The UF’s freshman profile shows that (I think) half of the admitted class has a SAT between 1600 and 1940, so I think with your GPA and ECs you’ll be accepted.

UF: Match/High match

UF is a Match/High Match

Even though UF’s places more importance on GPA/Class Rigor, it does still view Test scores(SAT/ACT) as important.

Middle 50% of the 2013 Class

High School GPA of 4.1 - 4.4
SAT of 1780-2020
ACT of 26 - 31

You’re just under the middle 50% for test scores. Your GPA and ECs/Leadership/Essay should help compensate for your Test scores, making you a Match. However, holistic admissions (at UF) is always a bit unpredictable.

Good Luck!
