First off, thanks for taking the time to chance me. I really, REALLY appreciate it and WILL chance back anyone and everyone who asks for it. Thanks!

White Caucasian Male
~3.83 UGA GPA (core classes based on grades straight off the transcript)
9 Honors Classes in core subjects
4 AP Classes (Lang, Comp Sci A, Lit, Calc AB)

Side Note: Freshman year was fantastic academically, rough patch sophomore year (mix of As and Bs in honors classes and one C one semester in honors chemistry) which messed up my GPA due to two deaths in the family explained in application. Junior year best year academically rigor-wise.

Senior Schedule (2 APs):

Economics (required)
AP Calc AB
AP Literature
PE (required)
Physics (required)
Contemporary Literature (considered a literary elective)

4 APs at end of high school (Lang, Comp Sci A, Lit, Calc AB)

1900 SAT (620 CR, 620 M, 660 W)
Taking the ACT in one week, I am expecting a 29-32 based on practice tests.

I have leadership positions in 2-4 clubs, two year-round part time jobs, and do a good amount of volunteer work with my church, school, and library. Planning on applying early action, but please chance both EA and RD. I understand that my chances for EA are probably slim.

Feel free to let me know my chances. I'll chance back as well!

Based on last year’s profile, you’re in an iffy spot. Your AP courses are far below average and your GPA doesn’t speak well for your lighter course load. Your test scores are not bad.

Keep in mind, UGA cranks up its selectivity every year. Expect a 10-20 point increase in the SAT average and a couple point bump in the GPA average. AP scores may or may not go up this year. In 2010, the average student entered with 5.6 AP classes, now its 6. I’m not sure if the AP average will go up to 7 this year or next year.

Thanks for the response Haley. I am looking into adding another AP class for second semester and bring my total up to 5 AP classes. I feel confident that my ACT I took yesterday was 29+, and my school does not offer AP classes for freshmen, and only offers one for sophomores (World History). So, essentially students have two years of high school to take AP classes, not sure if that gives you a better feel of my situation. Let me know.

Received a 29 composite on the ACT and am enrolled in another AP class in the spring, bringing my high school total to 5 AP classes, including AP Calculus.

With your 29 ACT score, you fall in the average. Your course rigor is still a little weak(you should always try shooting for above average rather than average)

I would say you have a good shot. Good luck!
