it will be tough, i think i read somewhere that 80% of their students are IB deploma students nowadays and I know of kids with better grades that have been rejected (other factors though)

hard to say with so little info (what school do you go to by the way, I live in GA too)

IB diplomas? you mean they studied abroad or what?

yeah I know my GPA is ****, I’m just trying to get in with my SAT and some extracurricular. my chances .net says that I have a 97% chance of admission rate when I did NOT fill in my class rank. But when I did it turned to 5%. And I read UGA doesn’t even require a class rank sent in.
I go to Northview High.

This quote actually uses your posted stats as an example:
“GPA and rigor of curriculum weigh roughly three to two to standardized tests in predicting academic success at UGA. Effectively, this means that a student with a 4.0 GPA in a superior curriculum of Advanced Placement (AP) or International Baccalaureate (IB) courses might be admitted with an SAT score at or below 1000. Yet, another student with a 3.0 GPA and an SAT score of 1400 might not be admitted, if the student opts for no more than a standard college prep curriculum with few if any Honors, AP or IB courses.”

L2hang-I don’t think your response did either! At least mine had information to let him form an opinion on admission chances.
