Chances for UMich so far

I'm currently a junior and I would absolutely love to attend the University of Michigan and plan on applying as soon as I can next year. Here are my stats so far (obviously no recs or essays yet, though I plan to start asking for recs in the next few months):

UW GPA: 4.0
ACT: 33 (E 35/M 32/R 32/S 33/W 9)
In-State
My school doesn't have class ranks, but I'm probably in at least the top 15%

Honors/AP courses:
Freshman year- Honors English, Honors Geometry
Sophomore year- Honors English, Honors Algebra 2, Honors Chemistry
Junior year- AP Lang, Honors Physics, Honors Precalc, Spanish 4 (not technically an honors or AP class, but I'm sure it still looks nice)
Senior year- AP Calc AB, AP Psychology

EC (what I should have by next year):
10 years piano, 4 years guitar, 7 years clarinet
4 years band (2 of which are in the school's top band)
4 years marching band
National Honors Society
2 years bowling (JV this year, hopefully varsity next year)
4 years class board
Camp counselor
4 years in a youth group (3 of which so far I've held a leadership position in my chapter)

If it matters any, I am a white female and I'll be applying to LSA.

I think my weakest area is that I don't load myself up with AP courses. I never took APUSH or AP World because history is my least favorite subject and I don't want to be doing extra work for a course that I don't enjoy. However, I think I make up for this because I get A's in honors classes (and I currently have an A in AP Lang) and will likely graduate with a 4.0.

UMich: Match
You have a good test score, in-state, and lots of ECs. I agree that your weakness is your course rigor, but I think you will get in.

I agree with Justin. Your weakness is definitely class rigor, which is an important factor in UMichigan admissions. I think you still have a reasonable chance though.

Match. Colleges would rather see you get straight A’s in regular/Honors classes, than B’s and C’s in AP classes anyway.

Thank you guys! Unfortunately, I can’t go back in time and change my schedule (and we already submitted our schedules for next year), but I’ve always known it’s my weakest area. However, my sister got into UMich with the same class rigor (1 AP junior year, 2 senior year, mostly honors beforehand), a 4.0, and a lower ACT score. I guess I’ll just make sure to write some fantastic essays; I think I’m a fairly strong writer.
