chances for UNC Chapel hill

what are the chances of getting in UNC Chapel Hill for an Indian student? What is the min SAT score required? I heard it's fairly competitive to get in because of the low tuition rate. Also, is UNC Charlotte a good college? its ranked very low in US news.

If you consider to apply to UNC-CH, just be aware that they accept only 18% of OOS students and out of that percentage an international is probably 1-2% under the acceptance rate. UVA is like this as well because theses two schools are top publics.
UNC-Charlotte is probably a small school and not as much known. It’s business and architecture school are alright, and you might get a scholarship (maybe?). But don’t go into assuming that you can transfer from that place to UNC-CH because transfer acceptance rate is pretty low, and admissions prefer only juniors as well. As an international on top of that, I would think you would have a much harder time.
Apply with a grain of salt because the caliber for acceptance as an intl at UNC-CH and other top publics is comparable to getting into the ivies. It won’t definitely be like Georgia tech, if you require a relative comparison.

Oh okay, thanks a lot!
So does that mean georgia tech is easier to get in when compared with UNC chapel hill?

Also could you tell me about Stony Brook? Is it also somewhat like UNC Chapel hill and other state universities?

I only know that places like UNC, UMich, UVA, and UC-Berkeley are the hard publics to get in to. I don’t know about Stony Brook, but I would say that it is more accepting of intls than say…the schools I listed above. And I think Georgia tech is more of a reach for you than UNC, which is well known for a very low admissions rate for not only intls but also OOS students too. Other state universities that may not be like in the top 30 in U.S. are easier to get into, but the scholarship amount may not be as easy to get? (but then again, what public is offering a good amt of scholarships to noncitizens lol).

Oh okay, thanks a lot for the info!
I guess I’ll try for both G tech and Stony brook.
