Chances for UNC, Washington and Lee

I am from NY and applying to both UNC and W and L, and was wondering what my chances were.
SAT: 1480 (790 math, 690 reading)
Grades: 4.0
Class Rank: 85 out of 365
Courses:
AP World (5)
AP US (4)
AP Human Geo (4)
AP Lang (5)
AP Psych (5)
AP Spanish
AP Macro and Micro
Honors Math and Spanish
EC: Work for 20 hours a week, expected to train others
Model UN
School Newspaper
Youth Court member
Interact Club, Leadership Club (Community Service Based)

I understand my EC and Rank are weak, and that these schools are challenging (especially UNC with my being an OOS).
Would appreciate input, thank you!

UNC I would think is more safe than not for you, simply based on your AP’s and SAT. They should make up for your EC’s being below-average.

W&L might be much harder because they get plenty of high-achieving academic applications each year. Most accepted students stand out for their interests and activity outside of school, so that may be a big challenge for you. Definitely still worth applying though.
