Chances for undergraduate admission

You should do everything you can to get your entire application packet complete by Friday. They will occasionally still look at an application in the first round if just one item is missing, provided that item comes it very soon after the deadline – but there is no guarantee they will make an exception in your case. I recommend that you call them to ask.

Everything must be there except the scores from the Oct sitting. They will evaluate a file if there are ANY prior scores, and update when the scores from Oct come in. They will not evaluate a file if the Oct sitting was the first testing ever. They need one set of SAT or ACT scores in by Oct 15. Updated scores will then be considered from Oct testing.

“YOU WILL NOT FIND A SINGLE STUDENT WHO HAS AN ACCEPTANCE from FSU or UF for that matter… No one will hear before Dec 8th.”

IN regard to FSU freshman admissions, there are SOME students who already know. My daughter has already been accepted as a freshman for Fall 2011. The admissions office informed me via email the day of their decision and her acceptance has already been loaded into their database and she has the official “Congratulations! We are pleased to…” status on her student profile. However, I know this is rare because when we visited FSU the beginning of November and mentioned she had already been accepted the advisor we spoke with was surprised she had already been informed. None of her friends have been notified yet.

Did your D audition for a limited access program? There are acceptances for special limited access and audition programs.

No, she applied for a marketing major (no special admissions process there) and since her acceptance has changed her major to communications, public relations. But admission to the communications school itself isn’t decided until just before the junior year as I am sure you know. :-)
