That ACT is like a 2210 SAT?
You have a shot. It seems that you have a rigorous courseload. What’s off-level advanced math? Like Linear Algebra, multivariable calculus, etc.?

And how many community service hours do you have exactly? And which clubs are you in, exactly?
Your GPA, lack of leadership, and lack of solid ECs limit you quite a bit. I’d say medium reach.

Math = multi-variable calculus
Hours = probably 200-250hrs combined from all places
Clubs = Volunteering clubs, sport clubs (nothing much…)
Captain of my track team and charity team

What about APs? How many. SATIIs?

Athletics and academics are good. But your grades are a bit low. You lack ECs (but as a track guy I know how intense and time-consuming XC and track are).
The ACT is pretty middle of the road, it wont hurt you but wont help you very much. Idk what to say, you have close to a 25% chance.

If they like your essays then you are in. How were your grades in jr year?

“Your GPA, lack of leadership, and lack of solid ECs limit you quite a bit. I’d say medium reach.”

I don’t think the GPA matters when the class rank comes into play. Sure you might say a 3.67 GPA is not-so-high, so to speak, but the person is in the top 3% of his/her class, which points towards other factors such as grade deflation etc. Thats why many colleges/universities ask for class rank/percentile in the 1st place, because you can’t just compare GPA to GPA because there are many other factors that come into play such as grade inflation/deflation, school’s way of grading etc. What I think would make a difference is whether there is an increasing/decreasing trend in the GPA.

@OP: I think you have a good shot if you right great essays and have good teacher recs.

reach for sure but pretty good shot there. ecs and race hurt but other stuff makes up for it.
