Chances For University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill

Hello, was wondering if you could help me out here. Chapel Hill is my #1 college by far. I have already been accepted to UNC Wilmington and it is my #2, anyway here we go

Acedemics
-class rank: 17/159
-gpa unweighted 3.66 weighted 4.125
(insanely competitive class rank went down because I didn't take classes I didn't enjoy just to boost my gpa, my guidance counselor wrote on this in my Elon recommendation)
-15 honors classes
-3 ap's next semester

-30 act

Extra Curriculars
-Mens Varsity Tennis 2010
(co-conference champions)(most improved)(NCHSAA scholor athlete)
-Rec Basketball 2011

Founded Jordan Matthews Improv Club
-uses random improvisations around the school ie sports events to promote community awareness example. all club members wear pink to a basketball game to support breast cancer awareness
FFA
National Technical Honors Society
(completed both "pathways in high school" college technical prep in agriculture and college university prep)
Foreign Language Club
DECA
Beta Club
Play piano, and guitar
Won 9-12 science fair in applied/technical/engineering sciences freshman year

Volunteering
- Manager/Organizer Multi County Crayon Fundraiser
(collected 125 boxes and counting goal is 300 to be donated to Brenner's Children's Hospital Muscular Dystrophy Center)
Habitat for Humanity in neighboring city
PTA thrift shop
volunteered in Muscular Dystrophy basketball fundraiser

you may have noticed I have favored Muscular Dystrophy in my volunteering, this is due to my late cousin having Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy, and I am donating to Brenner's Children's Hospital as that was the hospital that he visited all his life

I will work on my essay's until my hands bleed i have a month and a half and am sure I can get them in a condition I think best describes me in that time

I am also a north carolina resident

Inspiring ECs, almost top 10% (explained by counselor), good enough ACT. I say around a high match. Good luck :)

Chance back please:

Is my ACT adequate? idk if i could take it again and send it in in time, i didn’t study for it and that’s bugging me

UNC’s range is 28-31, you’re within the upper end of that

ok cool thanks

So it sounds as if I have a decent shot at Chapel Hill. Thanks guys, I dont want to get my hopes up, but hopefully everything will go well and I will get in. THANKS!

you’re super lucky! chapel hill is my top choice too, but i’m out of state. being instate will help you lots, and i think you have a good shot ( a really, really, good shot ). your act is definitely adequate, and your volunteer work makes you stand out a lot.
