Chances for University of San Diego

I am very interested in the NROTC program at USD, also if there are any other colleges that you think might be a good fit for me. Thanks! (I used this information on a service academy thread so that's why it has all the physical fitness info)

I dropped my study hall this year, to take precal (that is the reason it's regular and not honors, that was the only way I could drop my study hall)
GPA is descent, grades have been par, A's, B's and 4 unwanted C+'s
I have been accepted to attend the summer seminar this summer for the United States Naval Academy
I am involved in Stugo as a member of the community service committee (I have many volunteer hours)
I have played soccer for three years and participated as a player and manager this past year for the school (no varsity letter ) I have played competitive travel soccer for the past 8 years, starting since 4th grade. I am in Spanish National Honors Society and was apart of Spanish club for two years. I am apart of a new club (Timmy Global Health) and have been a PROUD member of the ping pong club for the pasts three years. I helped start a CYO basketball team and have been a member for the past three years. I participated in one year of organized volleyball my sophomore year. I tutor/student teach and fourth grade class every Monday after class. I am a member of the band, as a bassoonist, and have been 1st chair/section leader. I har played the bassoon for 6 years. Band is an official class, but has many after school rehearsals and is time consuming.
I am physically fit participating in local events (5ks, bike rides, ect)
Again though no varsity letters, I might get one for managing this fall, but it's not the same.

Thanks!

I think USD would be happy to have you.

Anything else?

Your SAT math score is a little above average for USD, while your SAT reading is a bit below average. So, I do think USD is a good match academically.

Also USD is simply a great place for attending on a NROTC scholarship, because San Diego is one of the major Navy cities in America. Only the Norfolk Naval Base in Virginia is bigger – but San Diego is a much nicer city. You will have tons of opportunities to learn about the Navy; both by visiting the San Diego Naval Base on occasion, and simply by meeting a variety of naval personnel (active and retired) around the city.

USD gives a 50% discount on room and board to ROTC scholarship students. This will save you a lot of money. See this:

Personally, if I was choosing a NROTC university then USD might be my first choice, and would definitely be on my list. Excellent school, great city, great beaches, great Navy town. What’s not to like?
