Chances for University of St. Andrews??

Hi! I'm a high school senior, and I'm going to be applying to the University of St. Andrews this fall.

I'm really worried about not getting an offer because there are a lot of applicants who are trying to get into the university. I have had an upward trending GPA since my sophomore year (which was a little low due to a serious head injury) and have been stuck with a cumulative GPA of 3.21. I do have good scores on my ACT, which is a 28 and I know that reaches the requirements for the university. I was just wondering if I should submit more than that (SAT subjects??) they say they don't need more than one standardized test. I'm also using the CommonApp to apply, and I was wondering how I should approach the supplement, and if I should even send in my CommonApp essay. Do they want to hear that too?

It's all very nerve wracking, and I really want to get in. When is the best time to apply? I'll probably have my application in by October 10th, is that too late? I need to take the ACT one more time. What do you think my chances are??

I am sorry to say that your GPA is significantly below the required 3.6 and ACT is borderline. They rely on scores heavily. They expect to see several AP scores of 4 or5. There is a St. Andrews thread-you will get better response there.
If it is the only school in the UK that you are applying to you will hear sooner if you apply directly to St. A. It also depends on what your course of study will be. Note the A-level scores-they are equivalent to AP scores.
Good luck-sorry to give you negative feedback.
