Chances for UPenn, Duke, Cornell, JHU, and USC

<p>These schools (Upenn, Duke, JHU, USC) are the top schools I've applied. I was wondering what your guy's opinions are or what those who are attending think of my chances for each of those. Thanks and I will chance back!</p>

IB Diploma Candidate (I have 16 Honors Classes between 10-12th grade)
AP Chem : 4, IB Chem 4
AP Calculus BC: 5
IB Spanish SL: 6</p>

<p>Community Service
100+ Hours of Community Service at Boys and Girls Club
50ish hours of community service at a free medical clinic</p>

<p>Clubs
Math Club - Cofounder, VP for 3 Years
Scientifically Speaking Club (Science Nights for Middle Schools) - 1 Year
CSF - 4 Years</p>

<p>ECs
Academic Decathlon - 4 Years - last year I was top scorer in my county and got 5 golds, 2 silvers, and a bronze, went to state competition in CA for the past 3 years, and got a $1500 award at county for performance</p>

<p>Science Olympiad - 1 year, got a silver in experimental design, went to state competition
Mock Trial - 2 Years</p>

<p>Waksman Student Scholars Program (through Rutgers University) - a biotech program - 2 years</p>

<p>UCSB research mentorship program - summer after soph year, did original research and wrote a paper </p>

<p>Independent Research Project with a professor at University of the Pacific - biochem lab and i worked with protein modeling and structure - summer of junior year - probably my best experience/activity and I have a great recommendation from the professor who attended stanford for grad school</p>

<p>Test scores are on point with plenty of noteworthy ECs, so I’d say you would be just the type of applicant these schools would look for… Just remember to have a backup plan, because even if it may seem as though you’ve done everything right, but you always run a great risk of getting rejected (which I seriously wish doesn’t happen to you). But anyway, you’ve got a lot to show and I wish you the best of luck applying.</p>
