Chances for UPenn, Stanford, Columbia, Dartmouth

<p>I'm a current HS junior, and I'm looking for helpful, honest responses. Suggestions about other schools I should apply to are always welcome!</p>

* Awards/Rec: AP Scholar with Honor, President's Volunteer Service Award, NHS, probably NMSF, some state awards

<p>Your stats are very nice–maybe your CR is a little low (the Ivies generally like to see a high CR.) 750+ would be ideal, if you feel confident you can get that.</p>

<p>Where do you live?</p>

<p>The ECs don’t wow me, although it might be the way you’re presenting them here, but they’re certainly adequate enough. I would say if you raise your CR you have a very good shot at Dartmouth and Penn–I’m assuming CAS, not Wharton–and Columbia and especially Stanford will be harder, but you’re definitely in the range of competitive applicants.</p>

<p>Looks pretty solid. Sounds like you have an interest in politics? You should emphasize that in your essays.</p>

<p>damn girl… u have really solid stats haha but u shud take into account that ur asian which lowers ur chances a lot… my korean friend applied to stanford EA with a 2390 and was president of his school but he still got rejected :S… esp this year is the hardest for admissions… but still have ur hopes up high and good luck!</p>
