Chances for Upenn, Stanford, Yale, Princeton, Harvard, Cornell, and UChicago

Hello Guys,

First of all, I thank anyone who took their time to reply. I am a junior.

SAT 2- Math 2 (790), Physics (800), US History (780)

Class Rank- Class doesn't rank

EC's
-Tennis Junior Varsity (Grades 9-10)
-Tennis Varsity (Grade 11)
-Debate Team (Grades 9-11, vice president grade 10, president grade 11)
-Dance Team (Grades 6-11, toured 9 countries and various states)
-Student Government (Grades 9-11)
-Year Book Committee (Grade 9 editor, grades 10-11 photographer)

Your SATs are strong and to the caliber of those schools. Your only weakness, I think, is your lack of ECs.

How can I improve my EC’s?

I would say look for things in your community that you can associate yourself with; not just in-school stuff. Something that’s like wow… it’d only help you, haha.

i think your ecs are fine, colleges aren’t looking for a student whos involved in every single thing, you just need to make it clear that you are passionate and involved in the ecs your doing, my sister only did dance but got into princeton fyi.

princeton early action you should get in, all of the others are reaches but they are for everyone, but you seem to be a fairly strong candidate, hopefully your essays and recommendations were good, those will really set you apart from other applicants.
please chance back!!!

does dancing in 9 countries set me apart from the other applicants?

I would think so. Nine countries is a lot of countries.

I agree- that’s definitely noteworthy :).

If he applies early to Princeton, he certainly has a chance, but it is nowhere near * likely. * The GPA is nothing special. The ECs, the dancing is impressive for sure. But it is not like a 2300 is going to blow anyone away at Princeton, Harvard, Stanford, etc.

You are on the right track for all the schools listed. I just had a problem with that one comment.

EDIT: double post, my mistake.

you have to do something weird that shows that your not like all the other 2300 score kids
