My common app essay was pretty good, as was my Penn essay. I wrote the optional page 217, it had some humor in it but it wasn't so much that the essay would be bad if the admission person doesn't find it funny.
I'm not sure if I forgot anything
What are my chances for admission, honestly?

also i have two decent recs from my chem and physics teachers, a pretty good one from my cross country coach, and a very good one from the person who runs the Friendship Circle volunteer program.

What do you think?

I think you have a good shot. It would be awesome if your CR was higher on your SAT, but you ACT is outstanding and they will look at that, so I think you are solid testing wise. Your GPA is awesome. Your ECs are alright, but a little lackluster. They are standard–good enough so as not to keep you out… but they certainly won’t be what gets you in.

I think it will come down to what admissions officers think of your essays. I think you are a very solid applicant, but you never know what will happen and I’m sure you are well aware of how competitive Wharton is.

Best of luck!

Chance back?? http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/807231-chance-me-these-top-schools.html

You have decent GPA and SAT scores…but I think your EC does not stand out very much… I think your admission will depend on your essays…

what do you think about these schools?

University of Virginia
Emory University (and the Emory Scholars program)
University of Michigan
Lehigh
University of Maryland
Washington University in St. Louis
???

I applied to Wharton ED as well…did you get called for an interview?

I didn’t. I sent my app in October 30th

Thanks for chancing me…

I think you have a great shot…scores are definitely your forte.

The fact that you’re coming from a difficult school will also help…

As for your other schools, I don’t have much experience, but I did get into UMICH a week and a half ago with my scores even though I submitted my app just on Oct 23 so your scores should be just perfect for that…

This is of course, assuming you met the EA deadline for Umich
Good luck!

Thanks for the reply.

Your GPA and ACT score are good. Your ECs are well-rounded with the clubs and sports. I won’t say you’re in, but you definitely have as much of a chance as anyone else applying.
