How large of a factor is the strength of your portfolio? 50/50?

In terms of my portfolio, I personally believe it's very strong, but then again, I wouldn't be applying if I felt that it wasn't.

Thanks to all who reply, by the way.

Good SAT scores, good activities, not quite as good GPA. I know nothing about the cinema department, so I can't really comment. Those are just general things.

cntv is highly competitive. production has the lowest acceptance rate in the country. do your best and mail it off.......you have nothing to lose!

Hey people, what do you think of my odds?

I also applied for USC CNTV, but I'm a bit insecure about my porfolio (the rest must be okay). I don't have much interesting EC's to mention. I am however an international student and took acting lessons for eight years (something I consider to be useful for a director). Does that make me interesting enough for the admission committee?

Thanx for reacting.

My details:

MALE/CAUCASIAN
Nationality: Dutch

GPA: 3,7
TOEFL: (CBT) 285/300
SAT - (not necessary, I'm transferring)

Personal Statement: Good
Writing Sample 1: Good
Writing Sample 2: Very Good (so I've been told)
