I plan to get a 4.0 UW GPA 1st semester of senior year which will bump up my GPA to a 3.72 I think.

So yeah, my gpa isn't the greatest...but here are my tests scores which I hope improve my chances greatly:

Your chances are alright I guess. One thing to note is that no way getting a 4.0 1st semester senior year is going to raise your cumulative to 3.72… pretty concerning that you don’t know how averages work - if your 9-11 GPA is 3.44 then you need to multiply that by 6 (for each semester) and then add 4.0, then divide by 7, which gives you 3.52. 1 semester of senior year =/= 6 previous semesters in weight.

Your scores look good, EC’s look good, but the GPA is gonna hurt you. I don’t see many APs in there which could have worked in your favor for your GPA. I hate to say it, but your chances aren’t looking too good right now.
If you really want to go to USC consider transferring which I’ve heard is how many people get in later.

Thanks for the honest opinions guys. And Aeroblade…lol yeah as you can tell, my skills in averages aren’t very good. But hey, I have an A in Calculus right now so cut me some slack :P.

Yeah you can transfer from a UC to USC, you can transfer from any university to USC. However, it might be easier to transfer from a community college, it isn’t the real “college experience,” but it’ll increase your chances because you’ll be able to keep a high GPA, have a better focus on school, and it’ll allow you to save up a lot of money to pay for the expensive USC tuition when you transfer. Either way will work, but those are my recommendations UCman1.

Your gpa is pretty good, don’t let anyone tell you otherwise. apply to usc and see what happens, you maybe accepted. But always make sure you have safety schools.
