Obviously, your 3.98 is un-weighted then. Your chances are excellent and I think your GPA/rank allows you to stay with your current ACT score and not have to re-take it.

its not unweighted. my unweighted is like 3.73 and weighted is 3.98. my gpa breakdown is like this Frosh (3.3/3.5) Soph (3.83/4.0) Junior (4.5/4.5) and right now I have all A’s and because my college classes are 10 credits instead of 5 I have a 5.1 so my overall will go up to a 4.15 at the end of this semester.

So if I understand the math correctly, you’re a 3.73/32. This makes you basically the average admitted applicant. In your favor is the dramatic bump in GPA after freshman year. You also have numerous APs and an adequate collection of ECs.

Working against you is your English score. An ACT 25 English is well below the SC 25th%-tile of 29. I understand that you’re applying to engineering but that number might give admissions a reason to pause. Produce a strong essay and that score will probably be overlooked. All in all I think you have a good chance, not a slam-dunk, but good.

I’m good at writing (12’s on both essays on ACT and SAT) I just suck so much you know what at the multiple choice part and at grammar. I end up second and triple guessing and run out of time. But I believe my essay will be sufficent and I am taking the SAT II’s this week and predicting 770-800 on Math II and 700+ on Physics.
