<p>Freshman: 5 honors

- Around 100 hours organizing, participating in some charity work
- Started a drive in town to raise money for heart/spinal cord disease awareness</p>

<p>Essays + Rec's:
- Rec's should be okay-good. I'm a good student, but not personal with teachers really.
- Essays should be very good. Writing about my heart problems as a young boy, what they taught me, and how they shaped me as a person. Went over w/ teacher, dad (major in English, and maybe a PhD)</p>

<p>Chance me for some/all of: USC (Cali), UCLA, UCSB, Stanford (lol), Cornell, and NYU?</p>

<p>-My mom teaches and is an admissions director at NYU, I can get in for half tuition if I make it</p>

<p>Stanford-who knows? But you have the proven chops to try and at least take your best shot. Cal, not as tough but they have a huge in state mandate to fill, and give very little aide to OOS. All the others, you should be in. GL. BTW UCLA is in a beautiful part of LA, not far from all the excitement of the beach and Hollywood. I can think of worse fates.</p>

<p>I think you got it reversed. Low match means the school easier to get into than match.</p>
