Hey guys can you give me some input on how you think i would do with USC's admissions office. I am looking to apply to USC Viterbi School of Engineering.

-I have a 4.18 weighted GPA (3.92 unweighted)
-ACT =32
-SAT II physics: 700 (took math 2 and am waiting for scores)
I have played basketball for four years ( 2 JV/ 2 Vars) [currently playing varsity -basketball]
-Vars Track 1 year
-100+ community service hours
-National Student leadership conference in engineering
-Elected junior class representative
-NROTC ISR (immediate scholarship reserve) candidate (will be doing NROTC if I get in, which I have been told I most likely will)
-Taking college level physics and math
-have a job at a local gymnasium/ workout facility
-French Exchange student
-Certified Peer Helper

I have been to three different high schools throughout my fours years and have maintained a pretty good GPA, does this help any?

I am expecting two decent recommendations as well.

Do you know which area of Engineering you are interested in? I wonder if you learned something special at the National Student leadership conference in Engineering which can tie in with your interest in Engineering. I suggest you try to focus your essay on something you are interested in as related to Engineering. I don't work for admissions but I don't understand why you think attending three different high schools is helpful, unless this was an opportunity to study abroad, learn with a variety of different students, etc. Your grades and test scores sound excellent.

thanks for the response! I am really interested in alternate energy engineering so something like nuclear engineering maybe. However, chemical engineering is also up there. I'm not quite sure at the moment. I thought that being at three different schools might help because of my ability to adapt to each school and maintain good grades at the same time, but I don't know how big of a factor it would play if at all.
