Demographics/background: Mixed Asian, upper middle class. Born in Asia but moved to the US when I was 1. Proceeded to move about 15 different times to different cities and states, at one time I lived in Canada for a year, before settling down due to my dad’s work.

Varsity Choir: varsity mixed choir member since freshman year, qualified for the texas state solo and ensemble contest freshman year and got 2nd division at state (couldn’t compete in TSSEC afterwards due to debate)
Show Choir: Member of the show choir since junior year
UIL Academics: qualified for UIL state my sophomore year in Current Issues and Events and placed 7th at state, captain of the current events team
Science Bowl competitor since sophomore year
Currently in the process of starting my school’s first model UN club
Recognized at the Duke TIP state ceremony after scoring a 1500 on the SAT in 7th grade

Joined debate late freshman year
Member of the National Speech and Debate Honor society. Currently holding the Superior Distinction Degree within the Society – the 3rd highest merit degree
Qualified in various state competitions
Sophomore year – qualified for UIL state in Congressional Debate and Policy Debate, and qualified for the Texas Forensic Association state tournament in original oratory
Junior year – qualified for UIL state in Congressional Debate and Policy Debate, and qualified for the Texas Forensic Association state tournament in congressional Debate
I am currently the alternate to the National Speech and Debate Association national tournament in congressional debate and world schools debate
