Chances for UT Austin, Rice, UC's, etc!

Hey there guys! I'm an 18 year old Iranian, first generation American living in Houston, Texas. My stats are:

Weighted GPA: 4.5
UW: 3.5
Classes taken at school: I took every possible AP/Honors course that I could.
SAT: 1900
ACT: 28
Class Rank: About 60-something in 550 people. So like 13-14th percentile.

EC's include:

Completion of the entire after school Kumon Math problem, from adding and subtracting all the way to advanced differentiation, applications of calc, etc...

Internationally accredited pianist by the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music, having passed a Piano exam in ninth grade for college credit

10 or so volunteering hours helping my local elementary school with special events

I would like to apply to a business school, and many people said it would be good if you got a job early, which is exactly what I did. I got a job during my first possible year of eligibility, and have had a job every year after that.

So my colleges I would like to apply to are: UT Austin, Rice University, any of the UC's (Specifically SD/LA/Berkeley), CalPoly, and that's about it.

bump…

Hey there! Your weighted GPA is definitely high, although the 3.5 UW seems to be a bit low taking into account your weighted GPA (must be a lot of weighted classes or some different schedule format). Your SAT and ACT might be a bit low for the higher tier schools you are applying too like Rice, UCB, UCLA. I would say:

Rice-reach
UCB-low reach
UCLA-low reach
UCSD-high match
Cal Poly- match
UT Austin-match

Try to get your SAT score up to at least 2000, preferably 2100. If you can do that, you can significantly increase your chances at the higher tier schools.

Good luck! Chance me back please!
