Chances for UT Austin, UVA, UMich, UNC?

I’ve read many of these chances discussions on college confidential. ive found them very help and informative and have certainly kept my expectations in reality haha. I’d like to know my chances for UT Austin, UVA, UMich, and UNC. I’m going to be a senior next year. id also be happy to chance back.

Residence (as this places a crucial role in chances): Texas
GPA: 4.4 (W) 3.8 (UW)
Class rank: 64/661

SAT: 2030, 740(M) 670(W) 620(CR)

SAT II: Math 2-700 (ugh)

ACT: none

APs: APUSH-4, Chem- 3, Physics 1-4, US Gov- 4, WHAP-4, Psych- 4, BC Calc-5, Stat-5, Human Geo-4, AP Scholar with Distinction (probably means nothing). I took WHAP and a few honors classes soph year. All my other AP’s are from this year.
I plan on taking AP Macro econ, AP Micro econ, AP Lang, AP Bio, AP Physics C, and AP Physics E&M senior year with the intention of getting 4+ on all of them.

ECs: Treasurer of Genealogy Club
Officer and fundraising committee head of Key Club
Officer of Asian Student Association
Officer of Future Business Leaders of America
Officer of Young Democrats organization at my school.
Recycling Club (plan on getting some type of leadership role next year)
Over 200 hours of volunteering at a food bank and a hospital (have very strong letters of rec from both)
Concert pianist, over 9 years played, have played at state concerts.
Played basketball freshman and sophomore year (sadly I was cut from JV halfway through soph year, tried for Var this year but was cut)

I have very strong letters of rec from 2 teachers and plan on getting one from my counselor.
Please be brutally honest. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
Thank you!

Im a member of NHS as well.

You’re just barely outside the the top 8% mark for auto admission to UT, but I think with your SAT scores and respectable ECs you’ll have a GREAT shot at getting into UTA. UNC and VA are going to be a little harder to get into since they’re more selective than UT, but I am not so sure how being out of state will affect your admission there. UMich, however, is a different story. Probably the hardest public U in the country to get into besides maybe UC Berkeley. Your SAT scores and GPA are in range for UMich, and your SATs are a bit higher than average for UTA, VA, and UNC. I think you definitely have a great shot for UTA, a decent/good shot for VA/UNC and shot at UMich. Like a year or two ago a student from my school who was ranked 16/80 (top 20%) got into UT with a 1900 alone, so you never know, college admission is weird. I’d advise bumping that SAT to a 2100 if you can, and maybe try becoming an officer in NHS?

What is your intended major?
Although you are not auto admitted at UT Austin, it may still be your best bet.
For UMich, your SAT score is below the 25th percentile (2040) and your GPA is below admission average (3.85). So it would be a reach for you. Their OOS admission rate is near 20% this year, so it is a reach for most OOS anyway.

OP, you have picked 3 of the toughest schools - UMich, UVA, UNC - to get in for an OOS applicant. At best, those are low “reaches” for you.

My intended major would be either economics, finance, or pre-med. thank you for the advice! Yeah I think UT is honestly the best choice. In my opinion it’s just as good as the other 3 and it’s in state.
