What do you think my chances are? UT Mccombs seems to be a crapshoot. I'm really worried because my rank is not quite there, but my SAT is well above average and I'm sure all of my EC's and other stuff is average to above average. For those of you who don't know any of UT McCombs stats, these were the 2013 Freshman stats:

Class rank (enrolled): 8th percent
SAT: 1320 (enrolled), 1342 (admitted)

Thank you!

Have you ever seen the formula’s posted here…http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/university-texas-austin/1556091-chance-me-ut-please.html</a> Look at the post by Ya Ya

My son just got into McCombs. He goes to a school that does not rank, but he wasn’t even quite in the top 25%. He had like 10 AP classes though. He had a 35 and a 33 in english and math on the ACT. We think that’s what did it. Look at the formula.

You are right though, it’s a crapshoot. Have a good back up plan.
