Hello CC!
Would anyone chance me for the following schools?

UT-Austin
Texas A&M
UMich
UIUC
U.Wisconsin-Madison

I am going to apply to the undergraduate business schools at these Universities (Ross, Mays, McCombs, etc.)

Here are my stats!
GPA: 3.8 UW, 4.5 W
SAT: 1920 (plan on retaking, 1280 M+CR)
Class Rank: 100/1054 (10%)
Ethnicity: White
State: Texas
Will not be asking for any financial aid
Plenty of AP and pre-AP classes (one level core class in 4 years of HS, plenty of AP electives)
EC's: Pretty weak. Mu Alpha Theta, Student Council, Business club, National Honor Society, some volunteer hours (<100). No leadership :/

Thanks for reading!!

I think all those schools are matches for you, with the exception of UMich.

^I think even UM would be a match with an improved SAT.

Thanks for the replies so far!
Not mentioned in my post is that my curriculum is filled with business-related elective classes, and this summer I plan on doing a business-related internship with a local medium-sized company (finance/accounting work).
I’m not sure if this helps my chances any, but I thought I’d mention it.

Also bump.

Retaking the SAT is a great idea, although your score is still fine enough, but it could be a bit higher. I got in with a score around yours last year (though I didn’t choose UMich – and I know others that got around a 1800-2000 who did). Not sure if Rose needs higher standards though. I can only chance you on that
good luck!

Try ACT too. Your SAT score and GPA are slightly below average in admission stat. With weak EC and OOS, your chance would even be lowered. Also, make sure you fulfilled their requirement for HS course.

You stand a decent chance at most if not all of those schools with your stats, but they would exponentially improve if you could get your SAT score to at least a 2000, or get a good ACT score.

Also, I’m guessing you’re a junior right now, so, with senior year coming up, try to get more involved in the ECs that you’re currently doing, or maybe run for some leadership positions, however small they may be. A focus in ECs is good, too, so if you could do something to showcase your passion or aptitude for business, that would look very good on a business school application

Chance Back?

I forgot to specify my comments above was referring to UMich. UMich’s Business school is extremely competitive. So average admission scores usually means not a good chance for B school.
