Thank you!

I’m also considering VT, GT, UCSD, Duke, Stanford, MIT, Rice, and Hopkins.

Bumppppp…

^ Staying true to the username, I see.

Your chances at UVA Engineering look great. Same with VT, GT, and UCSD. As for your reaches (MIT and Stanford, then Duke, then Hopkins and Rice), you’ll need a higher SAT score and some more solid ECs. You look like you’re well on your way, though.

I second that. I’m from NOVA too and was just accepted to UVA with similar stats (although fewer ECs). At VT I think you’ll get in the Honors college. I bet you’ll get into GT. I’m not as familiar with the others but you’ve got a good range of schools. You could also apply to UMich (some of the strong math/science students at my school applied there).

Thank you both for your feedback! :)

sarahcarolina54, which school did you get into at UVa?

I got in the College of Arts and Sciences. I figured it would allow me more flexibility to switch my major since I’m not 100% sure yet (although leaning toward genetic counseling as a career).
