Applying Early Action to UVA, George Mason, Christopher Newport, Hampden Sydney, Randolph Macon. Applying Regular to William and Mary, Richmond, and Washington and Lee. I am clearly a Virginia resident. It would be great if I can get an idea of where I can get in and if it will be EA. I'm open to suggestions for other schools too, any advice would be great!

Generally good essays (if I may say so myself) with one that I would consider to be very unique
Great recommendations

Virginia EA = reach (good chance for wait list given solid ECs, decent but not awesome grades, and lower than avg SATs (but hopefully going up)); W&L same as UVA; W&M = low reach (50/50%, slightly more holistic than UVA and ECs will help there); UR high match (50 - 66%); rest matches/safeties. Think about James Madison and VA Tech too.

UVA: reach
George Mason:safety
Christopher Newport:safety
Hampden Sydney:safety
Randolph Macon: safety
William and Mary:high match
Richmond:match
Washington and Lee: reach

i would say assuming your GPA does increase that you can get into most of these schools with a bit of stretching, but UVA is very tough avg GPA is 4.52 (from my school)

Both UVA and W&M stressed in meetings that my son was in that they expect to see Calculus. If your high school doesn’t offer it, that is a situation they will take into consideration- but otherwise it does make it more difficult to get in without it.
