Chance me at U.Va, W&M, NYU, U of Richmond, Va Tech

This is the worst part of CC. No one csn chance you based on a short numbers bio. Admissions use so many factors and if you think someone can just say match or reach its going to mislead you.

Well I sent off my application for EA today so this is pretty much just to ease my anxiety :)

Some things I forgot to mention: I cohost a radio with a few of my friends every Sunday. It’s called Speak Out: Giving Teens a voice in which we talk about issues involving teens around the world.

I’m part of a program called the Commonwealth Governors School that accepts 30 students from 2 high schools per grade. We have our core classes (English, History, Science, Math) in CGS, and our electives in the main school (CGS has it’s own wing, and the other 15 kids are bused over to our school for half the day).

Also, my rank is 33/445

You are in good shape. GPA and test scores are good. I can say that you are in good shape.

I would say decent chance of match

please chance me, asking about u of Virginia also
http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1569364-chances-east-coast-schools.html</a></p>

From your choices, I’m guessing you are a resident of VA. If so your stats are comparable to students I know who have been accepted at UVA. You’re a definite at Tech and U of R. I can’t say about W&M or NYU. EA should give you a great chance. I hope you return to tell us when you are accepted.

Yes I am a VA resident. And not NOVA, so I won’t get blackballed like the kids in NOVA do.

Bump 10 char

Your courseload is outstanding- jealous that your school offers so many AP’s! (mine offers 11 for jr/sr year only). This will look great to the schools that you pushed yourself, and make up for your lack of leadership. I am also looking at UVA, and I think you definitely have a shot. You seemed to have taken advantage of all that your school has to offer and your solid gpa/sat affirm that. Good luck!

Chance me if you can? http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1569669-ivy-leagues-others-what-my-chances.html#post16511300</a></p>

Yeah I am lucky that I have access to so many AP classes. I don’t really have a choice in what core classes I take, however. CGS makes all of its students take the same English, Math, History, and English courses which are all AP in Junior and Senior year. They allow you to ease into it Freshman and Sophomore year thankfully! Hopefully the Virginia schools I am applying to will understand how rigorous CGS is.

Va Tech-easy in
Richmond, NYU, UVirginia- in
W&M- maybe

Thanks for all of the thoughts guys. Anyone else want to share their two cents?

You have good stats. Theay are all matches for you! You shouod consider applying to better schools. You may have a good chance at UCs.

I really wish that I could go out of state, but I’m in a financial bind in that my parents make too much to qualify for any useful aid, but not enough to pay 40k/year. So basically I’m stuck in state and at generous private institutions that offer lots of aid (like NYU).

Final bump

I got in!! Go Hoos!

Congratulations! Much better than NYU anyway IMO.
