Chances for UVA?

UVA is my number one choice... unfortunately for me there are thousands upon thousands of more qualified students who feel the same....

I have a 2190 SAT (730 v/670 m/790 w)... a 4.0/96 average... I've taken 3 APs (biology, US hist, global) and gotten 5s on all of them - I'm taking 4 APs this year (calc AB, euro, english, french)... my school doesn't rank but I would assume I'm in the top 10-15% at a private Catholic school (out of state, unfortunately)... president of NHS, actively involved in school, community, volunteering... no sports though... had a job for 2+ years... good recommendations, decent essays(?)...

I would think that in other years UVA would be a pretty good match school for me. But considering this is the most intense year the college application process has ever faced, and people who would normally apply to Harvard, Yale, etc. have been applying to UVA, I'm not very optimistic. Can anyone give me a fair assessment?

I'd say you have a good chance. I wouldn't put all your hopes and dreams in one school, theres alot of great schools. Is that your unweighted GPA?

Middle 50% last year was:
SAT CR 600-710
SAT MTH 620-720
SAT W 610-710
ACT 26-31
GPA 4.07

I figure most of those will go slightly higher

Thanks stresst, and yeah, it is my unweighted. I imagine that the typical UVA applicant has a similar or higher unweighted GPA, but ultimately, who knows.
