Hi Hannahk16!

Based off of the information you have provided, your odds of being accepted to MSOE are pretty good. It is difficult to say for sure without a standardized test score in place. For admission to MSOE, you need a strong high school background (emphasis on math and science), a strong GPA, and a decent ACT composite and Math sub-score. Specifics can be found on their site: https://admissions.msoe.edu/</a>. It sounds like you are on the right track there.

As far as when to take the ACT, many juniors first take it April of their junior year. However, if you don’t want to wait that long, taking in in December or February of your junior year might give you a head start. Remember, the more classes and knowledge you have gained, the better the test will go for you. For more information, go to act.org or talk to your guidance counselor.

While I cannot attest to the other colleges admission criteria, I can tell you what we will all say, “Visit, visit, visit!”. The best way to know if a college is right for you is to be a part of it prior to making your decision.

Best of luck with your search!
