Chances for UW Seattle? PLEASE...!

I was just wondering what my chances for acception are to the University of Washington. I do realize they look at applications holistically, but I just want to get a good jist.

Statistics/Achievements:
Cummulative GPA is 3.908
About 3 Honors classes throughout HS (A’s)
About 2 AP classes throughout HS (A’s)
Wrestling my senior year
Part of the Symphony Orchestra all 4 years
One year ahead in math (AP Calc AB)
Played at Carnegie Hall with school Orchestra
I am a first generation from Tajikistan
ACT Score was a 28, unfortunately…

Also, I think I have a pretty good essay because I checked with my counselor at school. She assured me it was well written and gave almost no corrections or modifications.

Really anxious to get my letter.

Thank you!!

Bump…

Bump.

Bump. Anyone?

I think that there is a very strong chance that you’ll receive admission to UW, but if you’re applying as a competitive engineering major, you may not receive direct admission to your major.

Your ACT might be a bit low for UW to be a safety, but its definitely a match! Your ACT is within the middle 50 percentile of UW which won’t be too hurtful to your chances at all.

Good luck!

On my application I wrote that one of my possible majors would be computer engineering and the second would be psychology.

Does this affect anything? Will they take the fact that I wrote I might do engineering be taken into effect?

Thank you

Most UW students choose their major in their second year. Unless you do direct admissions, I think they won’t care much about what major you put down.

Oh okay, thanks for the input
