Chances for Vanderbilt Early Decision Class of 2024?

Hi! I know that it’s hard to accurately determine my chances of admission to Vandy, but I need help determining whether or not EDing is the right move. If I was to ED, I would apply to the Peabody College as a Human and Organizational Development Major!

ACT: 34 (36 reading, 35 english, 31 math, 34 science)
GPA: 3.8 uw 4.6 w
Course Load: Increased over the years; 1 honors freshman yeah, 3 honors Freshman year 3 AP and 1 Honors Junior year, and I am scheduled to take 4 APs and 1 honors senior year

ECs:

  • Manager at local business in my town
  • President of the Action Against Hunger Club
  • Vice President of the INTERACT Community Service Club
    -Founder/Co-President of community outreach program
    -Secretary of Entrepreneurship Club
-Secretary of Junior Statesman of America
    -Babysittings
    -National Honors Society
    -National Language Honors Society
-Took cybersecurity and mock trial classes over the summer through a program at Yale
-Around 200 hours of Community Service through several programs both in and out of school

Like I said before, I know there is no way to accurately determine my chances of admission, but do you think I at least have a decent chance of admission by EDing or would I be better off EDing to a school that I am more likely to get into?

Only ED to a school if it is absolutely your first choice. No, you would not be better off applying ED at a lower choice school thinking that you’ll have a better chance of getting in.

Your shot at Vanderbilt is as good as anyone’s else. Go for it!

to be honest, i don’t think that profile is up to par with the Vanderbilt class of past years. I think you would be better off looking for a slightly lower ED school. Again, idk your situation but thats my opinion.
