High School Wind Ensemble For three years (highest band)
Indoor Drumline/Marching Band captain for two years.
I’ve done 5 church missions trips/Bible camps over the past 3 years as a counselor. Middle schoolers are insane… Lol.
Part time job year round. Family business so it’s quite flexible. Summer 10-15 hours a week. Winter 4-8 hours a week.

Honors:
National Honors Society
As previously stated, Captain in Marching Band and Indoor Drumline as a junior and senior. (Rode the bench freshman year of baseball if that counts? Lol)

Recommendations/Essays:
Guidance recommendation is very good. She holds a very high view of me as I came to her about schedule changes/college talks somewhat often.
AP stat/Honors Alg 2 teacher recommendation is also very good. His class was always fun and I always participated/tried hard.
Honors English 11/AP English teacher. I was typically quiet in class but I have a good relationship with her. She knows I write well and (I believe) she sees how I am a very driven person.
I might get an outside recommendation from my Drumline instructor. I have a ton of time into that group, trying to make it as good as it can be, and he sees how much of a passion it is for me.
My Common App essay will be very good. Vandy is easily my dream school. The city has everything I could want (music city :D) and the university has all of the majors I’m interested in. Which are Mathematics, Physics, ComSci, ComEng. And maybe Mechanical Engineering.

Thanks in advance!

My transcript is also strong. Of the 13 B’s I’ve gotten, only three have been below a 90% (92 is an A at my school) and that was an 88, 89, 89 in my history classes. I really couldn’t care less for history. I’ve never taken a core class (math, science, English, history) below the honors level. I took three years of French and have taken 6 music classes (including band, so two years of music theory). 4.5 is honors A and 5.0 is AP A
