Too bad your SAT I is so low. Also, when do you intend to take the SAT IIs? Do you have any science clubs or awards to add to this picture that could help?

Not sure about Vandy’s stats. Did you visit?

vandy is a great school

Can you post your individual SAT I scores? Math needs to be high for engineering

Based on your current stats, I would say 50% chance RD and 90% ED

Basically, you are in for ED, good luck

in612, my SAT subscores are: 690 CR, 690 M, and 780 W. & i know, my math should be much higher :frowning: i’m really hoping it goes up in october. thanks for the percentages though

limabeans, i’m going to be taking the sat II’s in november. vanderbilt is an amazing school and it’s definitely my top choice but i’m not sure if i can do ED bc of financial aid so i just want to see if i can risk just doing RD. as far as science-related awards/clubs, that Silver Knights nominee thing may be in science, but i don’t find out yet (you’re nominated on the premise of subject area).i could never join a science club bc they always conflicted with other clubs. i talk about my passion for science in my essay and am getting a recommendation from a science teacher who knows how much i love science, if that means anything…

I don’t think you should apply as a prospective engineering major unless you have math scores in the 95th percentile.

lobzz, i agree with that but my math score is in the 93rd percentile right now so i’m hoping, with my october sat, i should get into the 95th percentile

i disagree with the posters above- vandy LOVES female engineers, especially ED. i think you have a great shot, just try to get your SAT up!

break 1400, and you are in! good luck and you can do it! i would even worry about doing early decision

wow… hm. actually im thinking about vanderbilt as my choice of colleges…
majoring in BME. too.
hm…
i think if u get fairly good recommendations from the teachers and wrrite above avg. essay… then…u would probably make it into vandy easierly…
i will say… 80% for ED 60% for RD
