Please chance me, i know my scores suck, but would my ec's compensate for the "just good" scores?</p>

<p>MY TOP CHOICES ARE UVA AND VANDY, COULD I GET INTO THE GENERAL SCHOOL AS AN OOS???...or could i get into vandy early?</p>

<p>its possible to get into Vand. early, but i think you will de deferred. that's just my opinon though. it really depends on how many apply for early decision and what they're scores/apps r like. good luck :)</p>

<p>dardar: Given your profile, Vandy would be a good bet for ED (and they have EDI and EDII)....Check how the 08 grads did from your school....I think you'll fine they were very successful.....</p>

<p>UVA, IMO, is a reach with your UW GPA and stats especially OOS......A couple of OOS with 200 pts higher on SAT's were waitlisted from around these parts.....</p>

<p>Your ACT looks very good, so it cancels the kinda subpar SAT score.</p>

<p>Minority status helps a little, definitely, but I hope you know Vanderbilt's diversity is a bit lacking compared to other top schools, well that would be a plus to you I guess because Vanderbilt only has a few Asians. I have been told not to apply by my college consultant because I won't fit in... :( but that's just me.</p>
