Hello everyone,

I'm going into senior year, and have to begin the admission process. Fear is starting to overcome basic sensibilities, largely because I'm doubting the strength of my academic record, as I've minimized effort in math and sciences every year.

I'm interested in applying to some of the top film programs, including Dodge, Tisch, FSU, or any other somewhat reputable university. If anyone has other suggestions, It'd be really appreciated.

I go to a public school, but it has a fantastic API. We're within the top 1 percent of the nation.

Weighted 10-12 g.p.a. is 3.2, but I earned a 3.6 and 4.0 my junior year. Huge improvement from sophomore year.

First ACT attempt without studying was a 28.

AP Tests:

Just a 5 for APUSH

Senior year schedule consists of

ap lit
ap gov/econ
ap pysch
ap art history
and trident (an on campus lit magazine managed by students. I'm taking a leadership position even though it's my first year).

e.c.'s:

2 years of j.v. tennis.

2 year member of the Junior Statesmen of America. At a state-wide convention I won an award for best speaker and I am taking up a leadership position next year.

I am a member of a Professional Learning Community that operates within my main school (its intended goal is to unite a group of highly motivated artists to promote interdisciplinary collaborations and support the continuation of artistic exploration).

I've attended Idyllwild Arts Academy's summer film program twice.

I've attended Orange County High School of the Arts film summer film program once.

This summer I am attending Columbia University's master prose program.

I made a series of shorts for Hurley's nationwide walk the walk competition. The films progressed my team to further rounds, and we actually ended up winning. The prize was 25,000 dollars for my school.

I am a 2 year member of book club.

and I am a 2 year member of Save our Music (we raise money for underprivileged children interested in exploring the musical world.)

I make a lot of films, and so my creative resume is really solid. I wont brag about artistic prowess, but if anyone's interested in a sample, I'll message a link.

My writing sample should be pretty decent. I've always sort of excelled in creative departments.

So, what do you guys think?
