I made an account pretty recently and seeing all these threads I figured I’d throw in my own just to get some insight.
Chinese American, Male.
GPA: 3.756 on a 4.000 scale, weighted
SAT: 1480 highest on one test (780 math 700 english), I got a 710 on english on a different test. 17 on the essay.
SAT Subject: Chem 720, Math 2 670 (Yeah, OOF)
AP’s: All 4s in Bio, Chem, US History, and English Lang.
Current APs I’m taking are Calc AB, Physics 1, English Lit, and Chinese.
Honors Courses (including this school year): 11
Extracurriculars: NHS Grades 11-12, Cross Country Grades 9-12 (Varsity Grades 11-12, Team Captain Grade 12), Track Grades 10-12. I know, it’s pretty sparse but I’m really attached to running and it takes up a lot of time.
I’d like to think that my writing skills are about average.
Also, if this counts for anything, I have heard that my high school, although a public school, is considered relatively competitive in terms of academics. I do know for sure, however, that our football team sucks, so our talent is definitely not in sports
I applied ED to Cornell as a Bio major, EA to Northeastern as Undecided Exploratory, will apply to BU RD, and I have yet to apply to Penn State, so I missed the November 30th priority deadline, but I plan to have it in by the next December 31st deadline.
I know Cornell is a huge reach. I’m just completely unsure about Northeastern and BU. I’m thinking I have a decent chance at Penn State, but I don’t know. That’s why I’m making this thread.
If there’s any other statistics that I missed but you guys think could be important, just tell me and I can pull them up.
Thanks! I look forward to having my high school legacy dissected by you guys.
