I think that you have a decent chance i checked out naviance from my school and 11 applied. 8 were denied 2 were waitlisted. The one who was accepted had a 1950 SAT with a 95.44 average. BUT someone who was waitlisted had a 96.5 average with a 2320 SAT so id say you definitely have a chance. probably like 50%. hope this was helpful! please chance back.http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1153992-chances-jeopardy.html

Never “project” an SAT score. You will never, ever get it right to the exact #. If you get above a 2100 on it, I’d say you have a very good shot at Vassar, but that is quite a large jump in scores.

@synny201:
I have taken numerous test and scored around 2250, so I playing low for that reason, but thanks anyway.

Really need some advice on what more I should do…chance whoever Replies!!!

I know a Vassar interviewer (one of my teachers) and he says Vassar likes to see interviews done if possible but doesn’t weight them very heavily. Show interest, and be the sort of kid Vassar wants – involved, passionate, and just a little “quirky.” Again, your application looks strong enough to get into Vassar assuming you get above a 2100 on the SAT (pref. 2200).

thanks for the info! I appreciate it. Do you know if applying EDI gives me a boost?

I think their policy is that applying EDI or EDII does not technically give your application a boost (like it does with uPenn), however personally I think most schools will give students a little more headway if they apply early. You seem pretty hellbent on going to Vassar, so I really would recommend applying EDI if money is not much of an issue :)

Would love more info on what vassar’s looking for or if I’m fine! Will chance anyone in return!!!

Your grades seem to be great for vassar!
I can see how ec’s are hard in a small school, but vassar will probably want some more so maybe try doing things around your community, and it doesn’t even have to be like work or service but even activities you enjoy doing!
Good luck!

If you scored above 2200 on your SAT you have very good odds. Yor other stats look quite good, though I’d consider doing a few other EC’s just to add some breadth (though your high involvement in the ones you already helps compensate for it.) Thanks for chancing me btw :)

Hey I also think you have a very good chance at Vassar especially since you’re applying ED. If I were you I would try to make the best of the Your Space and bring yourself to life as much as possible. Best of luck!!

**bump :(

Kinda freaking reading everyone’s own entries. If someone could enlighten me a bit more would really appreciate it. Chance anyone in return asap!! (**sorry haha)

Your GPA is great! I know you already know this but your SAT would be better if it was higher. Other than that strong classes and strong SAT II scores could get you in.

Also! I heard Early Decision does not help as much so I wouldn’t ride on the idea that ED is easier but it’s worth a try!

Hey, don’t listen to some of those other responses! I think you’ve got a very good chance of getting in. You seem like you genuinely care about your education and community, and Vassar will recognize that. I wouldn’t worry too much about your SAT I score, Vassar looks more at the SAT IIs. Your essay is extremely important as are the recs. The vast majority of people at Vassar never did an interview, but that will always help if you’re borderline. And EDI will help, to some extent. The thing is, with the economy as it is, Vassar wants to be sure a student they accept will go, and accepting someone ED gives Vassar one less spot to worry about. I wish you the best of luck in your application process! Feel free to message me for any specific questions

Thanks for posting on my thread!
