<p>Hey, don’t listen to some of those other responses! I think you’ve got a <em>very</em> good chance of getting in. You seem like you genuinely care about your education and community, and Vassar will recognize that. I wouldn’t worry too much about your SAT I score, Vassar looks more at the SAT IIs. Your essay is extremely important as are the recs. The vast majority of people at Vassar never did an interview, but that will always help if you’re borderline. And EDI will help, to some extent. The thing is, with the economy as it is, Vassar wants to be sure a student they accept will go, and accepting someone ED gives Vassar one less spot to worry about.
