Hi, Im from fairfax county in northern viginia which is one of the best counties in the nation. I report a 3.63 weighted gpa with six ap classes and six honors courses. 5 years of math including AP Calculus BC. No SAT scores yet but should be good. Sister is straight A student in Tech's honors program. Let me know if I would get into the architecture program, just the university, or neither. Thanks!

I have also been on the Varsity Tennis Team all 4 years of high school. Please Chance me!

Why would you want to go to such a place? Is death really that appealing?

Moonnite, not cool.
Tilly, I was accepted to VT this year with a 3.94, 29 ACT, 8 AP’S, 10 honors, four years of science fair at the fcps level and one year at the state level, 3 years of work at a vet clinic, NHS and SNHS for two years, and AP scholar. A lot of my friends who applied with scores/GPA/EC’s below mine were either wait listed or rejected. Good luck- VT is becoming very competitive.

Wow psilovethomas, im surprised you didn’t go to UVA with that kind of GPA. Tell thomas i said hello ;)

haha. I didn’t apply to UVA because…well…I just don’t like the UVA environment. My parents would have forced me to go to UVA if I applied and my heart was set on Michigan State University.

anyone else?

DD loved our visit to campus over spring break despite 30-degree temps, wind, and snow flurries. She has a 30 comp ACT, 540 CR 620 Math 620 Writing SAT (will retake in May); GPA is 3.75 in highly regarded Fairfax County HS. Will have taken 6 APs and 4 Honors classes by end of senior year. NHS, Spanish Honor Society, President of Community Service Club, and DECA. Chances at Tech?
