Hi, I’m new to this so please excuse me for any potential mistakes.
My first choice school is Wesleyan University and I plan on applying ED next year.
I’ll be applying with a 3.77 GPA and based on my test scores (1980 overall) I don’t think I will submit. Yes, I know that I have time to retake and I also know that it doesn’t seem possible that I could know my overall GPA this soon, but I have thoroughly talked to my teachers and this is the predicted outcome.
I will graduate with 5 AP courses and all Honors classes (AP Psych, Lang and comp, biology, environment science and AP LIT). I have taken all science classes up to physics (and my AP classes), will complete Calc H this year and I have taken 4 years of Spanish (going abroad to Spain this summer). I believe my school is competitive but I can’t really compare it to others since I’ve only been here (it’s ranked 17th in my state)
I’m a female African American Student, and also a part of the A Better Chance program. I am not a first generation student and I will be applying for financial aid (single parent household income under $30,000)
I am president of 2 clubs and withhold 4 leadership positions in others (involved with 6 clubs in my school) I have over 300 hours of community services if that means anything. I played volleyball for two years. I plan on double majoring in Biology and Spanish.
Please let me know if you think I have a shot at getting in ED or even in general, thank you so much!
