As much as I’m willing to acknowledge that Quebecer high schools have no GPA, most Quebec files for Wharton (and just about any American university for that matter, not that there are many Quebecer files in UPenn’s admissions office in the first place) come out of CEGEPs instead.

But, CEGEP or not, Wharton is a reach for anyone.

My plan is actually to go to LCC Grade 12 next year as opposed to CEGEP, what do you think I should work on in the coming years?

Do LCC offer calculus at grade 12? I know that Quebecer Math 536 is roughly the same as pre-calculus, Math 436 is Algebra II+Geometry+Trigonometry (both of these “honors math” courses contain a little bit of statistics as well)

If so, by all means, take it. And what SAT II subjects did you take? Wharton requires two.

I’m actually taking AP calculus AB, and then I’ll take BC next year at LCC. I’ll be doing subject test later in the year, but I’m not sure what I’d like to do yet. Is Wharton a reach for me in your opinion?

As I said, Wharton is a reach for everyone (and just about any Ivy League school) so it is a reach for you.

its good definitely apply- wharton isnt as competitive as people think :/

Catria, what would you recommend I do to increase my chances? What are some safety schools in your opinion?

Herman, continue putting alot effort into your extra curriculars, and just make sure you get a good SAT math score. Have you tried doing some business related extra curricular? that would deff help! please can you chance me?

Quebecer schools could have been safeties but since you’re out of the CEGEP system…

But I assume that, if you have the budget for Wharton, NYU should be a better match. Or PSU-Smeal… Or UMinn…

s65amg, my two main business extra-curriculars have been the newspaper and a business i’ve founded with a friend.
