Chances for Wharton ED?

I’ve been aiming for Wharton since freshman year, but I’m curious if my GPA is gonna completely wipe out any chance of me getting in ED…

SAT: 1550 (770 R, 780 M)
SAT II: 800 Math II, 760 Math I, 770 Lit
APs: English Lang (5), Psych (5), Gov (5), WHAP (5), Calc AB Subscore (5), Calc BC (4), APUSH (4), Spanish (3)

GPA: 3.75 (UW 4.0 scale) and 5.5 (W 6.0 scale, although I calculated it as around a 4.44 on a traditional 5.0 scale)
Highest rigor possible (8 APs junior year, which is why I got 5 Bs that year) :frowning:
Class Rank: 24/430 (Semi-competitive-ish public school, offers 20ish APs)
Senior Year Courseload: AP Macro/Microeconomics, AP Stat, AP Lit, AP Bio, AP Spanish 6, GT Multivariable Calculus, GT Journalism, Health

ECs: Future Business Leaders of America (9-12) Chapter President, more than doubled chapter membership, won numerous awards (listed in awards section)
Varsity Tennis (9-12)
It’s Academic (9-12)
National Math/Spanish Honor Societies (11-12)
Senior Leader
A few more irrelevant things

Coalition Essay: 8/10 (wrote about watching my best friend fall off a three-story building last year, doesn’t have anything to do with business though)
Why Penn: 8/10 (was told it was good but honestly I have no idea at this point)
Interview: I honestly have no idea/10 (We had a pretty good conversation and connected on things, but I think I was a little too genuine (said hip-hop was my greatest passion ?), I’m hoping the rest went alright tho)

Recs:
English Teacher: 7/10 I’ve heard she writes really good rec letters, but I got a B in her class so it will probably be fairly generic
Psychology Teacher: 8/10 I did phenomenally in that class and she wrote me a note at the end of the year that I would do great in college so I think it’ll be pretty good
FBLA Advisor: 10/10 I pretty much recruited our entire chapter and kept it from dying out in addition to winning things so I’m hoping it’s stellar
Counselor: 9.5/10 I literally talked to him like every day for a period of time, he’s said a lot of good things about me and I think we have a pretty tight relationship so I’m hoping it’s above the usual generic counselor rec

White male, $150k+ family income
Hooks: First-generation, cousin plays lacrosse for Penn if that matters

I don’t really have many non-FBLA things so I’m just relying on my scores and some good luck with how my essays and interview were perceived to push past my mediocre (by Penn’s standard) grades, obviously Wharton is a reach even for people with 4.0s so I just wanted to know if they’ll even consider me

Sorry for writing so much, and thanks in advance for the feedback!

GPA looks fine – other than English, which classes did you get those Bs in? It’s unfortunate that you got all those grades in the most recent year, but it won’t sink you by any means.

More importantly, it looks like your quant aptitude is strong (800 Math II and SAT score). Don’t submit the Math I score.

First gen will surely help you, plus you have a family member there. I’d say you have an excellent chance.

@aoeuidhtns Too late on not sending Math I score…I messed up my SAT IIs first take because I didn’t realize that they still had penalties for guessing, only ended up doing Math II second take because I felt good about my score and didn’t want to have to risk canceling

Unfortunately I had Bs in AP Physics and both Calc AB and BC so that really, really hurts from a math perspective (also had one in Spanish, not doing Huntsman though) and I have no math recs so that combined with the Math I score will definitely detract from my chances

Junior year was rough man
