I’m really excited to apply ED to Penn for Wharton but I’m afraid that I don’t have enough business extracurriculars… Track Team and part time job take up a lot of my time along with Boy Scouts so I hope they recognize that. Do I have any glaring weaknesses that I’m just not seeing? If anyone could comment on whether I’m just being silly or if I have as good a shot as anyone else on this board, it would be greatly appreciated.

I’m applying ED to Wharton at Penn, but I’m also applying EA to UVA, And villanova. I was already accepted at Pitt, and I’m also applying to Brown, and Penn State Schreyers
Thanks for the imput!
Good stats, good extracurriculars. Your schools are all crapshoots so really focus on those essays! Those can really make a difference. Chance me back?
To OP, are you replying to your own thread on a different account? If you are, stop being paranoid, someone will respond. Also, the one thing holding you back probably won’t be essays. It will be your lack of serious business experience. That is what Wharton looks for specifically.
I’m not op lol… I know op at school so I’m messing not with him
bump… That was my friend messing with me, this is a serious post looking for advice/ opinions. I realize nobody really knows anyone’s real chances, but can you tell me whether the schools I’m applying to are High Reach, low Reach ext.? And if there is really anything I can do to make myself more appealing beyond killing the essays.
I think u might have a good chance… being hispanic helps a lot for most colleges especially ivy leagues, so you shouldnt really have a problem. Your gpa is good, act is good, and ec’s are standard enough. You might just have an upper edge over other competitors…
I already posted this on another’s thread, but I feel like this goes the same for you:
Your stats are well qualified for UPenn, but I’m afraid that you present yourself as a “cookie-cutter”. One thing that I want to tell you is to revolve your EC’s around one specific passion/interest that you believe is the most interesting part about you. Being well-rounded is a false notion that many people believe. When you compete in the highest caliber (HYPSM, other ivies, etc.), you want to present yourself as a person who would be able to offer something to a school’s student body. In other words, if you have a specialty or passionate hobby/interest, emphasize and express the hell out of it.
Chance back?

Why are you wasting time applying to these schools when your high income parents have already said that they’ll only pay $5k per year??
How would you pay for those schools if you got in??
YOU can only borrow $5,500 for freshman year. How would the rest get paid??
Eagle scout means you have a great shot.
