I think you are pretty much average acceptee at Wharton. APs hurt a bit.

What was the breakdown of your SATs? (i.e. how much verbal, math)

oh, my math was around 780 and verbal is around 700.. so 4 year president is average for wharton.. damn

yea.. stats-wise, you're pretty much average.

BTW, class presidents are known to be popularity contests

so your saying that class presidents are all popularity contests. I see. Our school's election system is different. We have to get teacher's nominations and their recommendations. Popularity only counts as 1/2 of the vote.

In general (i.e. in most schools) class president elections are popularity contests.

well looking at your stats, raghavp, it aint that much better than mine. Your ecs arent that strong and it doesnt stand out. All Indians love math, and I have a feeling that you ran for class preisdent and you lost to a "POPULAR" person in your school. Our student body has around 2000 students. If I was a bad president, then I wouldnt have won all 4 years. 3 year class President and 1 year Associated Student Body President.

umm.. I never ran for class president, for your information. And I never meant to insult you or anything. I'm just saying that many colleges view the "class president" as a popularity contest. I'm not suggesting that the same is the case at your school nor am I saying that you are bad because of being one.

Dont worry, raghavp. Me too.

I would say it all depends on your essay.

So goodluck writing that =)

at my school, no one really cares about class president. for the last fews years, we pretty much haven't had elections because only 1 person runs for each position, if any. it is pretty useless anyway.

Yeah, at my school its a popularity contest. Basically the hottest girl that runs for president wins.
