Chances for Winter 10' UCSC -

So I've been at a ccc for about a year now, i love ucsc, it's where I want to go

What are my chances?

Applying Winter 10' to: UCSC
Transferring from CCC

Major: Psychology B.A(UCSC)
GPA: 3.6 (3.75 in psych work, 3.6 in all work, will be higher after summer/fall)
Pre-Reqs: Everything except business calculus and personality psych (completing by fall semester)
IGETC: will be completed by Fall 09 (just need to take English 2 in fall)
EC: I don't know when/where on the application I'll mention highschool stuff but I did hockey/club sports/4 years of film academy in highschool, clubs and stuff.

Received an opportunity to do extended research with a professor (will be published next summer, 10+ hours of work a week - on going)
Work: 20 hours part time
Extra:
-All recommended lower division courses suggested by assist.org (will be completed by fall)

The only thing i'm worried about on my application is my units... i have 43 UC transfer units... i'll have 49 after summer semester, then 3 more classes in fall to satisfy my 60... all this is mentioned on my application, so there's basically 5 classes that are in progress or plan to take... will this impede me?

So what do yall think? I really want to go to ucsc :O

Thanks

If you finish the 60 transferable units before you finish at your CC and transfer to UCSC, then I’d say your chances are about 95%.

I’d go with 99%. Anything above a 3.6 will get you into Santa Cruz for sure. Try checking with their tag agreement as well.

Just make sure you have a pulse. My friend got in with a 3.2 as a psych major.

Hijync99 did your friend have TAG?

I don’t have a TAG agreement, and isn’t it only for FALL students that can do TAG agreements and not Winter applicants?

it’s kind of late anyways for a TAG agreement right?
