<p>Funny thing is, a lot of people do the Rubik's Cube thing. Other people will do the same thing but you just have to pull it off better :P</p>
<p>you know about the intel science talent search, right? i submitted to both siemens and intel last year....as far as i can tell, they're about equally prestigious in college admissions, and there's a tendency for different people/projects to do well in one or the other competition (like, 2 people i know who didn't get anywhere in siemens made the intel semifinals, and my friend and i who both made the semifinals in siemens didn't get anywhere in intel). i'm not sure if intel accepts team projects, but if they do, you should submit; the deadline's later this year (january-ish i think).</p>
